The IPS Empress system uses an all-ceramic, hot-pressed glass
technology designed for esthetics and strength. It’s
unique leucite-reinforced, pressure-injected glass ceramic
material gets its high strength from the finely processed leucite
crystals in the pressed core.
During a multistage fabrication process, leucite crystals
are created by means of controlled crystallization in a glass
matrix. The powder form of the semi-finished product is subsequently
pressed into cylinders and then fired. The shade system is
used for individual characterization of the dentin core. Layering
incisal and transparent materials produces a lifelike crown.

The Cercon System from Dentsply Ceramco offers a comprehensive
solution to the need of a biocompatible and esthetic metal-free
restoration, capable of multiple unit bridges and promising
reliability. The system takes advantage of the excellent strength,
reliability and biocompatibility of ceramic zirconia (zirconium
oxide, ZrO2), along with the accuracy, control and advance
materials capability of an innovative computer aided machining
(CAM) process.
Cercon also allows dental professionals to bring the wealth
of their clinical and lab experience to bear, design and create
esthetic metal-free restorations best suited to their patients’ need.

The Captek Crown is a unique scientific breakthrough, which
enables your dentist to deliver natural, long-lasting crowns
and bridges that are healthier for your surrounding gums.
For centuries, gold has been known as the preferred material
for dental restorations. Captek's advanced technology combines
all the advantages of high-purity gold, without sacrificing
the strength of lower gold dental materials. Years of research
and patient satisfaction have proven Captek crowns are durable,
accurate, resistant to harmful bacteria and plaque, and attractive.
Finally, compromises need not be made to achieve a beautiful
and healthy smile.

The WOL-CERAM System’s special advantage lies in the
extremely accurate WOL-CERAM coping bridge or implant abutment.
The original die is dipped in aluminum oxide or zirconia
and is coated by the EPC (Elector Phoretic Ceramic) process.
Thus it creates an extremely precise internal and marginal
fit – in essence, The Perfect-Fit.
The required coping thickness is entered into the computer
and the EPC CAM program runs the fully automatic production
sequence. This manufacturing process is many times faster
and results in substantial cost and material savings.
For the dentist this results in a new, patented and improved
restoration technique. Having the possibility to make a different
thickness cementation gap which is thinner on the occlusion
that on the sides. The occlusal pressure is thus absorbed
by the occlusal contact. With this system, the possibility
for fractures is vastly minimized.
With this system you can create copings, bridgeframes, posts
and gingival-formed implant abutments in tooth colored Alumina
or Zirconia Ceramic material.
|
Advantages |
- No special margin prep is needed – works
with any preparation
- Works off the original die for precision
fit and perfect margins
- Fit and cement the same as a
PFM crown
- Extremely fast turnaround time
|
Indications |
- Esthetic anterior or posterior single or
splinted full crowns
- Esthetic anterior or posterior 3
unit bridges with a minimum 3mm interproximal connector
height
- Ideal for esthetic cases where natural looking
results are paramount
|
Cementation |
- Conventional cementation, e.g. Glassionomer
cement, Dualcement or Panavia 21T. Excludes the use
of rubberdam.
